🍎Cooking,Apple Crumble..
This term for Inquiry we are learning about our Technological World. This week we didn't go to Tamaki College for technology so we stayed at school and made apple crumble. Mrs. Komor started to split us into different groups.. So the boys peeled the apple's and give it to the girls that cutted the apples and some girls like,Grace,Faa'fiu,Fine, Aletheia and Lydia, did the measuring, mixing and more..

What I did is, i was one of the girls who cutted one of the apples when the boys were finish peeling the apples. I was proud of how I contributed to cut and I wasn't afraid to tell Mrs. Komor that I wanted to be one of the person who want to cut an apple. While we were cutting Apple's I found it challenging for me because the apples was hard and my knife were to small but I decided to use the big knife to cut.. It was amazing how me Ceren and Constance did a good teamwork and we did a good job for showing a good teamwork which is showing the school value of Manakitanga. Do u know what we technology we use to cut the apples?

Mrs. Komor helped us for some parts of cooking, she helped us how to use the knife. To be honest I already know how to use the knife but even though I know, I wanna still be careful. I enjoyed eating what make and it turned out to be yum somehow, it tasted like apple pie.. My feedback for the food is that it would be better if they added more ingredients to the apple crumble and so people would love it more..

Today afternoon we were given a task to analyse 3 different types of image with questions but I'm just gonna blog analyse and blog only about 1 picture.I would like to give feedback for the different types of images because it's challenging to understand the message of the photo, but anyways here's the first photo. Also there is different types of questions that is related or connected to 3 images or photo's such as.. Who took the photo? How is the subject represented in the photo? What kinds of messages are being conveyed? How do different parts of the image contribute to these messages? What if the photo was taken from a different angle or cropped differently?Who might the intended audience be? How might different groups of people respond to the image?

So here's the first photo.
I have no idea who took the photo but what I could say is the man who took the photo has showed kindness..the subjects that represents this photo is they can get sick from rubbish. The message in this photo is telling us the struggles that happened to them and how hard they living. How poor they are and how the hard they live. What if the photo was taken from a different angle or cropped differently? - I don't see any different's it just look the same to me..The intended audience be would be interviewing them about how they eat, they live and survive. For my response in this photo is heart felt because I fill sad for the people that is poor and look at how they dressed and what they wear..

🏃Athletics Reflection..
On Friday 16th November it was Athletic and was held in Tamaki Primary School. For Athletics we need to wear one of our house colours to represent our house, my house was Tripoli and so I have to wear blue. They we're only 4 houses which is Benghazi,Alamein,Tobruk(including mine). T.P.S*stands for Tamaki Primary School* field we did standing jump,long jump, shot put and discuss. 

Something I found challenging is shot put because the ball was heavy and hard to throw but at least I participated and give it all my best. Something I found enjoyable is the discuss because I was improving on throwing the disc even though it's heavy and really hard.

 We had different types of race they were 50m,100m,75m,400m. They were also team relays. The school value I showed is ako because I tried my best and participated in any event. I saw one person that is a friend on mine and her name is Coralee, she decided to pay an ice block for me and for some other people that was a good thing to do, she showed the school value of Manakitanga, that was a good thing to do. 

What I learnt about myself is that I should always participated and give it try even tho it looks hard because you never know if that's the right sport for u.

Brick phones to phones with a front camera Technology has really changed over time. Back in the old days there used to be brick phones, they didn’t have games on it or snapchat, facebook or any social media we have now-a-days. They only had numbers to call people with. Rotary dial or rotary telephone was the oldest phones ever create. The creator of the first telephone was Alexander graham bell, and hes quote is. “When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.

Technology has come a long way. Brick phones to Iphone xs plus with amazing quality, technology has really changed! Now how do they affect on how we live? Well it helps with our spelling our punctuation and more. It also helps us develop our researching skill and gain new knowledge! It helps answer questions, and others.

Now days phones have changed so much from past to future. Social media’s was used by so many, whether young or old..  The future phones would be so different and would be so expensive or in high quality. Phones would be in long battery, it would last for weeks till to charge(imagine that!) also you wouldn't need any power port or outlets to charge, in the future you will use plug wireless charging port for phone and u can be a distance away from the wireless charger, also in any object or stuff your phone will charge (how crazy is that!) Phones will have fordable screens, if you want to stretch out the screen then u can now. For phones screens would be 3D Holographic(WOW!)Phones would be so indestructible phone. You can also use indoor gps(Amazing!) You will have 2 sim cards for your phone. No phone numbers, Wow! I can’t wait for the future.

%Maths%

In the Kia Manawanui Syndicate we have did maths. For maths we had given this sheet of paper that has questions and we need to answer them. Well I was not able to finish all of questions but I'll tell u what I did within a few hours of doing maths.

The question I have done is to give the shade of the answer to the colour shown. Well there are 3 columns which is black, orange and yellow. I worked on the yellow, I was about to finish so I continued to finish the question, I did not find anything challenging, honestly it was fun and enjoying. The question I finished was $ 16.90 + $ 16.90, 43.8 + 54.6 and 49.3 + 28.8. The answer to the questions is .. 33.80, 98.4 and 78.1. Do know how there is black,orange and yellow it's because you have to colour the diagram and if it's all in colour it looks like a butterfly and it has 3 different types of colour black, orange and yellow.

Nature Watcher..

Today Friday, morning we have a teacher that has been working in this school before but now has come back, her name is Mrs. Treena, what I could say about her is that she's intelligent and smart teacher. So Mrs. Treena started reading this topic about how pests kills our native birds and other native animals, If you wanna read it, (CLICK HERE). We had to give our own feedback or opinion of why we agree or disagree of that statement well here is my opinion.

Nature watcher.. I agree but at the same I disagree, you know how horses is in the list for pests and pests eat's animals but horses eats bushes, will it actually depends if the animal is wild or taking care of a human. For example if a person has pet, the animal doesn't have to hunt for them self to eat, the person will have to take care and feed the animal, because sometimes animals are neglected and left alone in the forest,so they have to hunt and kill other animals. We could stop animals from hunting each other and so their's peace between predators and harmless animals..

Today is technology again, my partner is Kengsinton the same as last week's Thursday.  Before we start cooking we have to repeat the 4 main rules for cooking which is follow instructions,read instructions correctly, know hot to measure correctly and show respect.

So the steps to make mince pasta...
1) - Boil Pasta with a c of cold water until it's soft. 2.) - Drain under cold water using colandar. 3.) - Fry the mince with onion, when it cooked. 4.) - add sauce. 5.) - Combine with pasta sauce and top up with cheese. That's it.

The food was tasty and delicious, it was made well because me and my partner, Kensington was doing well at making teamwork.What I found challenging is catching up because we were late and they were ahead of us. If you wanna checkout Kensington's blog then (CLICK HERE

🎥Manaikalani film festival,Hoyts🎬...

🎥Manaikalani film festival,Hoyts🎬...
Today, Tuesday we went to hoyts for our Manaikalaini film festival. 13 different types of school create a movie to be shown to the rest of the schools. The whole school went. Before going to the hoyts, we did some maths in about 15 minutes, in my mind? What I can only say is that at ten o'clock the whole school started walking, where the bus is.. My buddy in room 5 is Carlosi, his one of the students to represent our school and his classroom(each class room has a represent-or).

My buddy Carlosi was a represent-or and so I had to buddy up with somebody else, this time my buddy was Abigail(Girl) and I forgot the name of my other budy but it was a man or a boy. I sat down inside the bus with my 2 buddy's, Kengsinton and Aletheia had to swap seats with me because I had 2 buddy's and they only have 1 buddy. While the bus take off my friends and I we're playing a game called concentration. Also they we're lots of buses because its the whole school..

When we arrived we waited then we saw different types of school's, then we we're inside the hoyts and had to pick a seat for the whole school. 13 schools create a movie to be shown to the rest of the schools.We talked for a while, then the movie started After that we watched various types of movies from other school , as I watched the different types of movies I had different types of feedback, what I enjoyed the most was the movie called reyclemonster and here is my feedback for them.

Room 1 did a movie called marching. Room 2 did a movie based on a natural disaster, earthquake. Room 3 did a movie called Three Short Movies. Room 4 did a movie about Rona and the Moon. Room 5 did the slice of Tamaki with the music slice of heaven. Room 6 did a movie about kindness which we all should shown. Room 7 did a movie to show people a day in a life at Tamaki. Room 8 did a movie called Kumara Vine. Room 9 did a movie about the earthquake beast created my Constance. Room 10 did the movie about TEAM and what we shown in Kia Manawanui.

Flag Football - KiwiSport!

Flag Football - KiwiSport!
Today in Kia Manawanui Syndicate we finally have kiwi sport!
 This is the first time we have kiwi sport for Term 4. For our kiwi sport we had flag football, what I could say is that, rugby and flag football is the sameWe walked into the field where 2 coaches were, their names were Coach Will and Coach Carl. So we had to be in a circle and they taught us how to jog then jump which is called chopping on the spot, so what u have to do is when they call out? (I forgot) u have to jump then jug again as fast as u can, for me I think that was like our team chant or something which is I don't know..  

After that they teaches us how to hold the ball,how to catch and throw, before they teaches us, the girls and boys has to be splited up in half, then three girls has to line up in one of the cone and same for the boys but it has to be four boys in one cone unlike the girls it's three because it was an even number, the girls was in the right side and the boys was in the left side. Also I forgot to mention that both sides had one coach, so in the girls group we had Coach Will and in the boys group they had Coach Carl. So one person has to be a the front and 2 person has to be at back which is Edith and Coralee, and so the team. After that two coaches started to teach us how to hold the ball, how to catch and throw.  

First they taught us how to throw the ball and hold the ball. For me it was very challenging because how the bottom of the ball or the point has to face the front to have a good and high throw, for me it was very challenging but as I tried and tried I started to find it easy and the coaches also helped us by looking how we throw. For a couple of while it started to rain at first we ignored but then it started to rain more and more so that's when we headed inside the hall. The coaches we're worried because of how small the space but they solved it out. So we continued learning how to throw the ball and hold the ball.

 About 5 minutes or 6 minutes later we we're learning how to catch the ball, I found it more challenging but I tried my best. Me and Edith swapped places because she saw having difficulties to learn catching the ball and she was a good mate, so we continued. I saw another girl team and they we're really good at catching,throwing and holding the ball, I was very impressed by how they show teamwork. What I could say about my group is that we all tried our best and we didn't complain about how we throw,catch or hold the ball. 

Image result for footballOur lesson was done but we still had 3 minutes or 4 minutes left? So we decided to play a game of football. What I loved about playing the game is that they where no out's and u can throw the ball as how u throw to be. One of the coaches saw that it wasn't raining outside so played the game outside but only 2 rounds of game, then the rain has come back again, so we have to be at the hall again. Also the coaches had to even the teams and playing the game was like netball because when u have the ball u can't run or walk u have to throw to someone. What I found difficult playing the game is my height because I'm short and lots of my classmates are tall and fast but my friend cheered me up, so I cheered myself up.

Bio Security is very important to our country New Zealand and the government have paid billions of money just to protect us, people and animals(native). So we have been given a task to summarise Bio Security or to show what we have been learning for reading.   What I enjoyed about this task is that it keeps me up to read because i'm not really into reading and so I need to be into it more. What I found difficult or challenging is to pick the information that is related to the question because sometimes I add to much information or over-boarding? (is that the correct word?)
