Today's blog is about..
Ako Evening!
Image result for roleplaySo my other blog posts it was about the Ako Production now this time it's about the Ako Evening. Let me tell u about what we did for Ako Evening. So for Ako Evening at first I couldn't come because it starts at 4:30 and it ends at 5:00 or 6:00 but my dad is going to work at 3:00 and my mum is going home at 4:30 or some other time, My mum can't make it in time because she's gonna be tired. Mrs. Komor called my dad and said if I could come, My dad said yes so I stayed for Ako Evening.

Anyways Edith had to step up for Coralee, Constance had to step up for Star, Alo had to also step up for Amon because Coralee,Star and Amon was away on that day. Our roleplay turned out pretty good because even Constance didn't know all the line of Star's part she made her own line and save our group, also Edith saved our group.

Image result for giphy enjoyedSo for all of the culture groups I have watched, I loved all of them but when it got to the Tongan group, New Zealand group and Cook Island group it got kinda boring and they needed to speak loudly and cleary but other than that it was enjoyable. Mrs. Aireen and Mrs. Komor was very proud of us and for the hard work we did so far. All of the parents that attended they loved our performance and I'm happy that it turned out pretty well.

Hope you Enjoy!

✃Ako Production & !

IALT: reflect about what we did so far for Ako Production.
Today's blog is about.....
✃Ako Production!
Image result for different culture groupSo for the past few weeks we have been working on our Ako Production. For our Ako Production we have to perform in our Ako Evening which all families comes. So each of our Culture group talks about a natural that happens or hit the Island. We have our own different types of culture group in the pacific islands which are Fijian, Samoan,Niue,Cook Island,Tonga & New Zealand. My Culture group is Fijian and I found it challenging because we have to perform to our audience first.

Our Story is about - The Turtles on Namuana-
Image result for Fijian flagMy part in my group is the 2, Narrator and The chief(Jone), As a chief I have to dress up as a boy and I found it challenging to be the chief because I need to learn to speak as a man or a boy, for me that is a challenge. I also had another challenge which is learning the Fijian dance, it's kind of easy because the girls sat down and the boys kneel down. Our Fijian song for the dance is Meda butu and if you wanna listen (CLICK HERE).
As a group member I have to come to school everyday so I won't miss out anything and the happenings that's going on at school. So in my group I have - Leilani,Amon,Coralee, Hevani,Fe'ao and me.

In our groups we have to also think about what our props and our culture dance but it has to reflect in our own culture groups. So for our props what we need is a turtle back, canoe, water which is the ocean/sea and the shark tale for the god of the sea which is Dakuwaqa.  It is very hard to make our own canoe and to think of one but Luckily Mrs. Komor had an Idea and what she did was.... She use a big piece of paper then she painted it brown and she made the shape like a canoe, then she needed help from us and I was there. Mrs. Komor made 7 canoe and Mrs. needed some helper which is about 5 people.

For our Turtle back that was for Coralee and Hevani's part, so I didn't have to help them but I still did only the colouring part. Hevani had another helper which is Amon and for Coralee's turtle back she had another helper which is me and Star. The Turtle back turned out pretty good.

For the shark tale it was easy and Star did it herself but Leilani did the drawing. It also turned out pretty good. For our costumes we just needed black T-shirts, lava lava, blue dress and the flower necklace & white T-shirt. Our class already had some extra Lava Lava and a blue dress also some flower necklaces. When we finish with our props we had to learn our part and the dance. We had to present our in culture roleplay in room 10 and we had to find our own space to perform which is challenging because we had to find out. Anyways Mrs. Komor and Mrs. Aireen already find our spaces for our culture role plays.

Now we had to put things to room 9 so our props and costumes could fit. We all helped each other to put things in room 9 and room 9 is smaller than room 10 but Mrs. Komor organised for us so all of room 10's things went to room 9 and it fit. When things was done we finally get to rest and...

Now we had to get ready for our Ako Evening which is to be continued(next blog)......

So how's my blog posts?

◮Technology!

IALT: reflect about what I did in Technology.
Today's blog is about....
◮Technology
Image result for hot cakeIt's our third session of swapping and it's the last swap in Technology. My Last group for Technology is Cooking and my teacher is Mrs. Tuipuluto. If you want to know her will then here's some facts about her(teacher), she's a Tongan teacher and she respects everyone. Just to let u know that I'm a year 8 and I already know what's the rules & how they teach because last year I also went to Technology. OKy! Let's stop talking about last year and now..

So we made hotcakes/pancakes. What I hate about my first session of cooking is that my partner is Toma but then we all swap so my part now is Fine. Anyways it was fun making hotcakes/pancakes and eating the food we made but we still had some struggles like: We didn't listen instructions & We got in-trouble for being slow while the others are fast. I found fun was cooking because I haven't tried cooking before.  What helped me is know I know how to cook hot cakes/pancake.

So what were making for Cooking, Technology is Hot cake and the ingredients are: 1 ½ of S.R flour, ½ c of sugar, 1 c of milk & 1 egg.
Mixing part - Combine all ingredients in on big-bowl. Mix well and fry 2 cakes at time. Wait until the bubbles are covered all face the cake. That's the time to turn over must have 6-8 cakes serve. It was really fun and yum

Hope you enjoy!

✏Pepeha✏

IALT: reflect about what I enjoy in my Pepeha.
Today's blog is about...
✏Pepeha✏
So if you didn't know we are celebrating our Te reo Maori language week. So for this week it's all about the Maori Language week. So we decided to work on our Pepeha and before we make a google drawing we have to write in our paper for Pepeha. So this is what I did so far for my google drawings.
So as u can see 2 parts of the DLO is blank out because I didn't know what it means and I don't have a canoe or a tribe. What I like is the part I added some images to represent the Maori Language week and I also added symbols. If you didn't know some of the Maori words I Translated the words in English.

I didn't found challenging is searching for images that represent the Maori Language Week. After that we had another task to do which is to Screen-Castify our work then put in the Kia Manawanui presentation and we had our own slides. After we Screen-Castify we had to put the link of the video and the google drawing link. So if you want to look at our presentation for each of one's work(CLICK HERE).  If you also want to look at my google drawings (CLICK HERE)

Here is my video about my Screen-Castify Pepeha.
✌Hope you enjoy!

(Last S) - Boxing w/ Pat

IALT: reflect about what I did in kiwi-sport.

(Last S) - Boxing w/ Pat
In this weeks Monday it's our last session of Boxing for Kiwi sport. I'm actually sad because it's the last session. Anyways so what I enjoyed was most of the class get to be in the hall where the boxing session is but the student leaders have to stay in. My partner was Faa'fiu and I enjoyed being her partner.

The right side has to get a noddle and the left side which I'm in it I have to where a glove and a boxing thingy. The part I found challenging on that is the right partner has to help us put on our gloves and pat has to count up to 20 if who evers doesn't made it in time has to do 10 burp-es. So what we have to do is the right side partner has to hi five the punch from the left side partner, What we basically do is do all of the punching session.

I found challenging was to remember all of the punching session from all of the weeks in session. I enjoyed was I had fun and people supported me to keep going. I was infront of people performing, I was scared and I didn't wanna go up but I had to.
