TIDAL PHENOMENON
Welcome back to my new blog for today.
In lots of days we had science with Mrs. Fepuleia. What I learnt or we learnt:
- How low tides and high tides work
- About the space
- How the earth rotates
- Different types of planets
- Other facts
So first we watched a video and filled all the blanked space. We have to listen carefully so we can fill our blanked space. Down below will be my work with some of the blanked space filled out.
What is a Tide?
A tide is not just the rise and falls of ocean water. Tide is the movement of water caused by complex interactions between the gravitational and forces of the Earth, Moon and Sun.
The combined forces cause the oceans to force out in the direction of the Moon. As the Earth rotates around its axis, the bulge is directly in line with the Moon. The Earth rotates a few times faster than the bulge, therefore the solid Earth moves towards the water bulge.
Observing the tide from Earth, you might think that the water goes surface the Earth’s surface. When in fact it’s the Earth’s surface that meets the water bulge.
Now you know what tides are and how they occur.
What I found a challenge in this activity was to filled in the answers properly because how I couldn't hear it properly. I didn't found anything not challenging!
✔️That's it!✔️
